The goal of this project is to develop a solution to facilitate communication between users/businesses and users who are not available or maybe unknown to them. Users may create messages in varying formats, select when and to whom to send them, with iSoftPhone integrated with iCal automatically sending to the desired contact.
The sprint has been an excellent opportunity to meet people with different technical backgrounds and visions for VoIP communications. Cross pollination of ideas is one of the goals of the event and this has been achieved. Not only discussions and presentations of existing or new ideas but how to marry these ideas to produce potential new content based services.
Through this event we have been able to refine and modify some of our existing use cases to formulate a potential new marketing service.
Social services that add value for users in the form of automated birthday greetings, party invitations or group messaging to Address book or CRM. Call management with predictive dialing (scheduling calls or throughout the day, week, month).
SMEs may create content for scheduled marketing events and then control when these offerings appear in an Event Greetings marketing channel/feed.
Premium Content. Contributors pay to have their presentations hosted. Send text, audio or video to number and message is stored in voice channel. The messages are sent to the channel at a date/time scheduled by the event organiser. Messages are targeted to users in their locality or based on key words in the users profile.
Examples: Events may be sales promotions in stores, news of a concert near them, bars, hotels restaurants and more..
Users may receive messages based on their location using GPRS, receiving news about promotions in their area or special events they may like to know about. Users may also subscribe to channels to specifically receive news about events of interest to them.
Example: What bars can I find in Krems? What events are happening in Krems? Any sales in stores near where I am?
